Goodbye Tokyo

Today was our last day in Tokyo. I hurt my back somehow last night so we took it easy until it was time to head to the airport. (On a positive note, my ankle has been feeling much better the past few days and my cold is completely gone!)

We headed to the crowded area to sight-see. Another Godzilla appearance:

Pancake with solid Godzilla chocolate. It’s what’s for breakfast.

After the super-satisfying chocolate and pancake breakfast, we had time to visit the Uniqlo store!  Thanks to Roger Federer’s sponsorship, it’s a major, global brand.

I had to put a bag over my head to try on the clothing but it was worth it as I got two tops!  For an individual who is top-heavy, this is a major score!

We are taking the airport limo to Haneda in 20 mins.  Flying home. Boo.

Arigatōgozaimasu Tokyo!

  1. Please explain the bag over your head to try on clothes.

  2. During our trip, because of the language barrier, many things were a mystery. The lady at the change room gave it to me and gestured that I put it on so all I can figure is it’s to protect the clothes from ladies’ makeup (or, in my case, sweat.) 🤷🏻‍♀️
At least now you’ll know how to identify me if I get kidnapped.

  3. What amazing adventure you two have had! Loved the pictures and all your explanations.
